Remote AC power control
With eight independent channels of AC power control and built-in TCP/IP connectivity, you can remotely control AC power states using any computer or handheld device. The unit has two independent AC feed buses with resettable circuit breakers that feed eight AC devices.
Remote network monitoring
The Network LifeSaver continuously monitors eight devices, including web, FTP, e-mail or any other type of TCP/IP service, and monitors PC, Mac, Linux and UNIX servers. Each unit can perform 52 user-customisable TCP/IP tests on each of the eight channels around the clock, sending data to any port and analysing the return data. If there is a failure, the unit notifies you immediately by e-mail.
Control room application
The included control room application gives graphical indication of power and network test results and provides software control of the unit and its attached servers. The control room can be customised with your own graphics and settings. The application can remotely restart and shut down servers, which requires the NLS client software, and displays memory usage and historical uptime information.
Hardware
The unit was engineered to run 24x7 without downtime. It contains two independent RISC processors and a medical-grade power supply. Because cooling fans are often the first components to fail, the unit cools itself without them. AC power control uses double layer relay switching for reliability and safety. It ships with built-in Ethernet connectivity, a rack mounting kit and a double set of AC power cords.
